Nana and Boys - Summer Fun!

Melissa and Scott celebrated their 10th anniversary with a trip to New York City so this Nana was privileged to have Landon and Owen for 5 days/nights.  Don was at Snow Valley Basketball School at Wartburg College so I'm totally in charge.

Our first morning took us to the Children's Museum in IC.

It was so HOT the whole time they were at my house so the sprinkler provided some fun and relief!

We spent a fabulous morning on the family farm.  Great grandpa Joe provided tractor and 4-wheeler rides.  We all picked sweet corn and great grandma Janet cooked some for our lunch.

The Washington Pool was a destination by popular demand one hot late afternoon.  Landon enjoyed swimming, going under the waterfall and doing cartwheels underwater.  Owen enjoyed "karate chopping" the water as he jumped in from the side.

Daily fun involved reading Berenstein Bears and Magic Tree House books, helping with meal preparations, watering the flowers,playing with cars, legos, Fisher Price toys, computer and nap time.

We visited Great grandma Iva in Kalona one morning.

A yummy treat of ice cream at Yotty's on our last night.

What a joy it was to entertain these delightful little boys!  So many hugs and kisses from them both all week.  LOVE you guys!!  Come again soon and often.
