Owen Turns 13!

We have another teenager in the family.  On April 7 Owen turned 13.  We now have 3 out of the 5 grandsons as teenagers.  Melissa invited me up for his birthday supper (Don was in Portand at the Hoop Sunnit).  When Don returned we presented his present of Nike gear that Don shopped for in Portland at the Nike store after Owen's school soccer match.

Spring Brings Track and Soccer

 TRACK

As a sophomore Landon is running varsity track at CR Prairie.  He's mostly running the 3200 (2 mile) and sometimes runs the 1600, 800 or helps in a 4x400  or 4x800 relay.  Cold and windy weather dominated the spring season.  Track and Cross Country are his sports.

Cade is running as an 8th grader on his school 6th, 7th, 8th grade team at Brownsburg West.  He runs the 2400 (1 1/2). Track and Cross Country are his sports.

SOCCER

Owen is starting as a 7th grader on his CR Prairie 7th/8th grade team.  He is also playing club soccer and also on an ODP team (Olympic Developmental Program).  Soccer is his sport!

Kasen is a left-footed hitter on his soccer team.  Soccer makes him happy and it is his sport!

Chicago and New Orleans - Basketball!

MARCH MADNESS

Friday, March 25 we flew to Chicago so Don can be present at the McDonald's All American Game.  We also had tickets to attend the semifinals of the NCAA tournament.

Wednesday, March 30 we flew from Chicago to New Orleans for the Final Four.  Don had a presentation on Thursday and Friday through Sunday the USAB mini camp.
