After a year of planning our Christmas in Colorado came to be. We rented a huge house (4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, open concept top floor with living, dining and kitchen, family room downstairs, hot tub out back)in Breckenridge so that we could all reside comfortably together. Don and I arrived at the house on Thursday, December 21 to get everything ready to go which included our SUV full of groceries and such. Brent and family arrived Friday from Indianapolis. Melissa and family were to arrive on Saturday, but after flight delays and the weather turning them back on I 70 from Denver to Breckenridge they arrived Sunday morning.
The beautiful views from our house.

SNOWMOBILING
Sunday morning with the Showalters and Monday (Christmas morning) with the Kahlers. The Kahlers rescheduled because of the delay in getting to Breckenridge due to the closed I 70. Snowmobiling was so much FUN! We practiced on a big oval track then broke up into smaller groups with a guide to go through the national park. It was beautiful.

SKIING
Don and I passed on the skiing, but everyone else took lessons for a day or two. Cam said it was "the best thing he ever did in the world!"
CHRISTMAS
We
went snowmobiling with the Kahlers in the morning, had a big dinner at
the house, opened the few presents (our presents to each other was the
week together in Colorado), played games, and then went for a
horse-drawn sleigh ride.

SLEIGH RIDE
On Christmas evening we went to the ski area for a horse-drawn sleigh ride up the mountain.
TUBING
Tubing in Frisco was a lot of fun! Two hours of twisting and turning down the hills either by oneself, double or up to four tubes together.
Thursday, December 28 our Christmas week ended. The Kahlers flew back to Iowa and the Showalters to Kansas then to Indiana. Don and I went back to Colorado Springs to put everything away then headed to Iowa for a few days to celebrate Christmas with our extended families.
It was the most wonderful Christmas week together! Precious memories were made for all.
