Easter Weekend with Owen's 10th Birthday

Owen celebrated his 10th birthday at the Final Four, but now it's time for his family birthday.  The cousins from Indy make this trip every spring and we all look forward to it.  Since it falls on Easter weekend we will enjoy our time together.

Easter Sunday
We were off to church after a sleep-over at the Kahler's.  What a blessing to worship with our family on Easter.  Then back to Melissa's for a big brunch and Easter egg hunt.  

A Weekend of Sports in Iowa

Tuesday after the Final Four we rented a car and drove to Iowa to take the boys home.  Don immediately flew to Portland for the Hoop Summit week and I decided to stay in Iowa through Easter.  I knew my time in Iowa would allow me to see Owen play soccer, Landon play basketball and junior high soccer.

Saturday - Soccer in Dubuque for Owen
Owen is playing club soccer this spring with his usual team, PSC (Prairie Soccer Club).  He had two matches on this cold day.

Sunday - Basketball in CR for Landon
Landon is playing club basketball this spring/summer for Iowa Prep.  He had three games on Sunday.

Monday - School soccer for Landon
As a 7th grader Landon is on one of Prairie's A teams that includes 7th and 8th graders.  They played at 3:30 Monday at Taft Junior High in CR.  The weather was better than Saturday's soccer weather.  They won 4 - 2.
