New York City - Yes, Please!

Don texted me in February (I was in Florida with my sisters) and wanted to know if I wanted to go to New York City with him.  Yes, Please!!  He represented USA Basketball at the Jordan Classic all star basketball game at which some of the USA players were playing.  So.....Monday, April 13 through Saturday, April 18 were spent enjoying theaters, Radio City Music Hall, eating out, a Knicks game, the David Letterman show, the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Museum, and the Jordan Classic game Friday night.  We stayed on 35th and 6th at the Marriott Courtyard and mastered the subway system which was right on our corner.

And we are off!

First stop, of course
Steak at Peter Luger's

Steak for two!

TUESDAY
9/11 Memorial Museum.  We had tickets for a group tour (well worth it!) and then spent four more hours on our own at the museum.

Art work - one blue (it was a beautiful blue sky day) sheet
for each one killed on that day.

The Survivors staircase.

An original wall - one that was build to hold
back the Hudson River.

I can't even imagine the force it took to bend
this beam into this shape.

The last beam to be removed from the
World Trade Center clean up.
