Moving CO to IA
We SOLD our downtown Colorado Springs loft. I flew to Colorado as Don left for the first session of Snow Valley. I spent the week packing, dropping stuff at Goodwill, and having lunch with my dear friends. Thursday, July 1 Don arrived via an unusual flight pattern (Moline to Denver and then rented car to COS). Friday morning we returned the rented car and picked up the Penske rental truck. At 9:00 our hired movers loaded the truck and by 12:30ish we were off to Iowa. I drove our Mercy Milan behind Don in the truck. Waze took us a new route and it was stress free as we stayed off the busy interstates much more than usual. Two way highways through the Kansas wheat fields was delightful. At 3 AM we pulled into our Iowa home. After a much needed sleep, the hired movers arrived at 10:00 to unload. A couple hours later we returned the rental truck and treated ourselves to a DQ!
The following weeks were spent unpacking, selling off some furniture, making more trips to Goodwill, and rearranging things in the Iowa home! WE DID IT!

Las Vegas
June 4 - 8
Don is back to work beyond the office from our Iowa house! Yay! Off to Vegas a few days early to relax, then Don went to the gym to evaluate players while I continued to enjoy the pool. We stayed at the Cosmopolitan on the 42nd floor with a huge balcony overlooking the fountains.

Remodel
For years we've wanted to pull up the carpet in the living and dining rooms and put down hardwood to match the kitchen and entry way. While we were at it I wanted to update the fireplace and mantle. Three weeks (close to four weeks) later we accomplished that project after waiting for months for the contractor to get to our project. It was worth the wait and mess.
